Trip Overview

Our most challenging winter adventure, this 10-day Arctic ski expedition takes you across 160 km of Finnish Lapland's wild and remote landscapes.

Ski from the Russian border through Urho Kekkonen National Park, staying in wilderness cabins and winter camping beneath the Arctic sky. Expect long days on the trail, wood-fired saunas, incredible scenery and a huge sense of achievement.

This is a true wilderness adventure for those looking to challenge themselves and experience life in the Arctic.

By the end of the trip you'll have travelled over 160 km from the Russian border to our basecamp in Kiilopää.

Remote hut-to-hut living
Spend your nights in simple wilderness cabins, surrounded by the silence of Finnish Lapland.

It's a proper wilderness expedition where we will be breaking trail and finding the best route to cross the National Park.

Trip Deposit

Secure your place on a trip with a £300 deposit. The full amount will then be due 90 days prior to the trip's departure.

What to expect…

Day one / arrival

Arrive at our meeting point in Ivalo and meet your guide and fellow adventurers. We will then go through the trip briefing and what to pack ready for tomorrow’s departure.

Day nine / ski day

On day 9 we will return back to our basecamp cabin after an incredible trip crossing Urho Kekkonen National Park. The team will enjoy a sauna and we will celebrate with dinner in a local restaurant.

Day two-eight / ski days

We will be dropped off at the boarder and will set out to cross the National Park skiing from 8-21km each day. Spending our nights in remote wilderness cabins or setting up tents and making camp each day.

Day ten / departure

There are no activities planned today so you are free to depart anytime from basecamp.

Travelling to Finnish Lapland
