Ready to take on the ultimate Arctic challenge?Join us for a 10-day ski expedition that will take you from the Russian border to our cosy basecamp in Kiilopää, following a linear route through the heart of Urho Kekkonen National Park.
Over 10 days, we’ll cover roughly 150 km of remote wilderness, skiing 8–20 km each day through silent taiga forests, across vast Arctic fjells, and deep into one of Europe’s last true wildernesses. Nights will be spent in a mix of remote wilderness cabins and camping under the stars, far from roads, villages, and any sign of civilisation.
With an expert wilderness guide leading the way you’ll cross one of Finlands largest national park.. Evenings will be spent around a cabin stove or campfire, learning about Finnish nature, Sámi culture, and the rhythms of the far north.
By the time you reach our basecamp in Kiilopää, you’ll have skied across an entire national park, tested your resilience, and experienced Lapland in its rawest, most rewarding form.

Ready for an adventure?
This 10-day backcountry expedition is perfect for strong skiers or those who’ve joined us on other adventures and are ready to take things to the next level. Over the course of 10 days, you’ll ski around 150 km from the Russian border to our cosy basecamp in Kiilopää, crossing the vast wilderness of Urho Kekkonen National Park on a fully linear route—no roads, no shortcuts, just wild, remote Lapland.
Expect long days on skis (10–20 km daily) through untouched forests, across Arctic fjells, and over frozen rivers, with a few challenging climbs each day. At night, we’ll mix camping under the stars with stays in simple wilderness cabins, many of which feature traditional wood-fired Finnish saunas—a true luxury after a long day’s travel in the Arctic cold.
This is a step up from our classic week-long trips: a chance to immerse yourself in the rhythm of winter travel, test your endurance, and experience one of Europe’s last great wildernesses in its rawest form. If you’re an experienced skier or simply crave a proper expedition far beyond the crowds, this journey is for you.
