Trip Overview

This is a proper wilderness journey through the far north of Sweden.

Starting in Abisko, we’ll travel on backcountry skis along the northern section of the legendary Kungsleden trail, finishing beneath the mountains surrounding Kebnekaise, Sweden’s highest peak.

For eight days, we’ll move through an ever-changing landscape of frozen lakes, wide Arctic valleys, snow-covered plateaus and remote mountain passes. We’ll carry everything we need in our pulks and spend each night in simple mountain huts, far from roads, crowds and everyday distractions.

The days are long and physically demanding, but life becomes wonderfully uncomplicated: ski, eat, warm up, sleep and do it all again.

This is Sápmi, the traditional homeland of the Sámi people. Reindeer move through the valleys, mountains stretch towards the horizon and, on clear nights, there may even be a chance to see the northern lights.
