Big news for UK-based adventurers: Finnish Lapland is closer than ever this winter!

Ryanair has just announced new flights to Rovaniemi from London, Manchester, Bristol, and Birmingham, opening up incredible opportunities to explore snowy trails, chase the Northern Lights, and unwind in wood-fired saunas.

New Routes for Winter 2025/26

Starting this Winter 2025/26, these routes will operate twice weekly, making it easier than ever to plan your Arctic escape. Fares are surprisingly affordable, with one-way tickets from just £37.99–£50, depending on your departure airport and date.

Flight days by airport:

  • Manchester – Wednesdays and Sundays

  • Bristol – Wednesdays and Saturdays

  • Birmingham – Mondays and Saturdays

From Rovaniemi, a scenic 3.5-hour bus ride brings you directly to Kiilopää and Saariselkä, immersing you in the heart of Lapland’s snowy wilderness. For adventurous travellers, this is the perfect combination of budget-friendly travel and unforgettable winter experiences.

If you’d like to arrive early or stay a few extra nights, we recommend booking additional nights in Saariselkä. It’s a larger village than Kiilopää, with more restaurants, bars, and activities—perfect for easing into your Arctic adventure.

How to Make the Most of It

  • Book early: Low-cost fares sell out fast, especially during peak winter months.

  • Plan your transfer: Buses from Rovaniemi to Kiilopää and Saariselkä run regularly, but it’s worth checking schedules in advance.

  • Pack for adventure: Arctic weather can be extreme—think layers, thermal gear, and snow-ready boots.

Winter magic is waiting ❄️🚌🌌. Grab your seat, pack your sense of adventure, and let the Arctic journey begin!
