Discover one of Norway’s wildest and most beautiful regions, where jagged peaks rise straight from deep blue fjords and tiny villages sit hidden between the mountains.
We’ll spend the week hiking panoramic trails through the Sunnmøre Alps, kayaking across peaceful fjords and exploring some of our favourite corners of western Norway. There will be challenging climbs, refreshing swims and plenty of time to slow down at our fjord side cabin

What to expect…
Day one / arrival day
Meet your guides and fellow adventurers in Ålesund, before driving together to our fjord-side cabin for the week.
Day four / day off
During the middle of the trip you will enjoy a day to yourself, it follows our biggest hike so it’s nice to take a day to rest the legs and enjoy our beautiful cabin.
Day two-seven / hike days
Our days will be split between hiking some of the region’s most rewarding trails and kayaking across two spectacular fjords. Expect steep mountain paths, huge viewpoints, waterfalls, quiet villages and time for a dip in the fjords
Day eight / departure
After breakfast, we’ll travel back towards Ålesund for your onward journey.

Accommodation
We’ll spend the week staying in a beautiful cabin near the fjord, surrounded by the mountains of the Sunnmøre Alps. It is the perfect place to return to after a day of hiking or kayaking, whether you’re enjoying dinner together, taking a dip in the fjord or simply sitting outside and soaking up the view.
Accommodation is in comfortable twin rooms.

Frequently Asked Questions

You’ll need a good level of fitness and some previous experience hiking on uneven mountain terrain. Daily hikes range from around 6-10 km, with up to 1,000 m of ascent and descent. Norwegian trails can be steep, so you should feel comfortable with sustained climbs and full days outdoors.

No previous kayaking experience is needed. Our experienced guides will teach you everything you need to know before we get on the water, and all specialist equipment is provided. You should feel comfortable being around open water and be happy spending a few hours paddling at a relaxed pace.

Absolutely. Most of our guests join our trips solo and quickly become part of the group. Our small-group adventures are a brilliant way to meet like-minded people.

We'll spend the week staying in a beautiful cabin nestled in a small village next to the fjord and surrounded by the dramatic peaks of the Sunnmøre Alps. Accommodation is in comfortable shared rooms, with plenty of space to relax after a day of hiking or kayaking. Expect spectacular views, cosy evenings with the group and the perfect base for exploring one of Norway's most beautiful regions.
Private rooms are occasionally available for a single supplement. Please get in touch to check availability for your chosen departure.

Breakfast and lunch are provided each day, and your guide will prepare dinner on three evenings. On two evenings, we’ll eat at local restaurants, which are not included in the trip price.
We’ll prepare packed lunches before heading out each morning. You’ll need to bring your own trail snacks, and we recommend carrying around 500-600 calories per day. There is a shop 2 minutes from the cabin so you can stock up here.

We’ll meet in Ålesund on the first day of the trip at 5pm. Full meeting details will be confirmed before departure.
Ålesund Airport is well connected with direct flights from several European cities, as well as regular connections via Oslo. We recommend arriving before 6pm on the first day of the trip. We'll meet you in Alesund and take care of all transport for the rest of the adventure.

Yes. Travel insurance is mandatory for all of our trips and should cover cancellation, medical expenses and adventure activities included within your itinerary.
